About the artist

 

Roger Jenkins is an Artist and Architect, living in Merseyside, UK

 

He is a member of Association of Formby Artists, Crosby Art Group, the Society for All Artists, and the University of Liverpool Art Group .

 

Roger exhibits annually at CHET (Crosby Hall Educational Trust), the Sefton Open (The Atkinson Gallery in Southport), Formby & Crosby Art Groups, & the Liverpool University Art Group, where he has received a number of awards. He has also exhibited at a number of galleries, in Merseyside and the Lake District - La Galerie d'Art (Bowness, Windermere & Ambleside), Maes' at Uldale, and Percy House Gallery, Cockermouth; locally at Galleria, Rainhill.

Roger was a winner in the BBC's Little Painting challenge, which exhibited at Manchester's Whitworth Gallery, and has twice appeared in the Sky Television Landscape Artist Competitions, as a wildcard artist. In 2019 he won the Daler Rowney award with a watercolour, at the national Patchings Art Festival. Lately Roger was an Artist of the Year 2020 and also 2022, awarded by the SAA, in the category Highly Commended 2020, this resulted in an article in the SAA Paint Magazine January 2021 (demonstrating watercolour techniques)

 

Roger draws and paints locally, at home in Merseyside and at various locations in the UK and Europe.  He demonstrates watercolours extensively to local clubs and organisations, where he regularly hosts watercolour workshops (contact the artist for more information)
